Gold Polonia Minor for the Kościuszko Mound Committee and Gold and Silver Małopolska Regional Crosses for Professor Piotr Dobosz and Director Leszek Cierpiałowski

The awards, granted by the Małopolska Regional Assembly, were presented during the USA250 celebrations at the Kościuszko Mound in Kraków - in recognition of over 200 years of dedication to protecting and promoting the heritage of Tadeusz Kościuszko.

The celebration brought together history, art, and community. Guests were treated to a shadow theatre performance - "Kościuszko - A Hero Written in Shadow" - by Łucja Mucha and Michalina Krzemianowska, followed by a reading of the Declaration of Independence in both Polish and English, and a recitation of Maria Konopnicka's poem "Przysięga" by Antonina Kwater.

The event also marked the opening of the exhibition "Heroes of Independence in Numismatics, Philately and Other Collecting," before guests made their way to the summit of the Mound together for a commemorative photo against the backdrop of the Polish and American flags adorning its slopes.
