Polish-American Day at The Kościuszko Mound in Kraków

On June 14, 2026, a gathering dedicated to building lasting ties between Poland and the United States took place at The Kościuszko Independence Hall at The Kościuszko Mound in Kraków, honoring the 4th edition of the US-CEE Connection Weekend, organized by Jagiellonian University and The Catholic University of America.

The event was hosted by The Kościuszko Mound Committee (Komitet Kopca Kościuszki w Krakowie), Institutional Partner of the conference, represented by its President, Professor Piotr Dobosz, and Vice President, PhD Adam Kozień. The conference's Program Director, Łukasz Chyla, also serves as Director of The Polish-American Center, currently being established under the Committee.

During the ceremony, two distinguished guests from the United States were honored with medals of The Kościuszko Mound Committee:

The Honorable Mark T. Uyeda — Commissioner of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission The Honorable Phyllis C. Borzi — former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor
